The z/OS Service Test team is looking for you! We are not only responsible for final testing of all fixes delivered into the service stream for z/OS clients but are a critical contributor to the reduction of PTFs in Error (PE) for z/OS service.
We provide an environment and assist developers in gaining confidence in their code by allowing them to execute special tests, recreates and early testing of ++APARs and ++PTFs before sending into the service stream.
What you'll do:
As a zOS Service Tester, you will be responsible for:
Designing and automating test suites to ensure reliability of the system z(s390x) platform technology
Having a client-first mindset to test at scale and imitate customer-like environments
Creating strategies and scripts to test new features and functionalities
Contributing and reviewing code for internal and external repositories
Documenting processes (Test plans) and procedures for clarity and reproducibility
Interacting and co-ordinating with Global teams

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Required Technical and Professional Expertise with relevant experience of 8-12 years
z/OS system programming, working knowledge Experience in z/OS Storage Management, and awareness of z/OS middleware product data usage (CICS, IMS and Db2). Basic storage infrastructure and IO configuration knowledge
Specifically for z/OS Storage Management
Working knowledge in DFRMM, Tape Management/OAM, including ability to migrate and restore data from DASD volumes to Tape.
Knowledge of ACS policies and management.
Catalog knowledge, including ECS and VSAM RLS catalogs.
Great communication and collaboration skills a must, with the ability to work across multiple time zones in a 24-hour pseudo-production Real World Testing environment with more than 20 team members; finding defects that matter as part of a world-class team of testers
Experience building pipelines for automation servers such as Jenkins, Ansible automation framework etc
Skilled in a scripting language. Python, Ansible or Galasa is preferred.
Self Driven, Quick learner and a strong team player
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Working knowledge of DFSMS VSAM RLS
Enterprise test and/or test management experience a plus
