Wright Residence Assistant - Independent Living Job Location: Wallingford Center, Connecticut

　　Wallingford, CT

　　Per Diem

　　The Wright RA provides concierge level assistance to residents who live in the lower campus. They respond to emergency calls, may provide light housekeeping, they interact with residents and guests in a professional manner, and complete documentation as required.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Demonstrates professional and appropriate behavior at all times as a representative of Masonicare to all who enter the building.

　　Make walking rounds to visualize resident areas for general safety and work order needs.

　　Observes and communicates changes in residents mental/physical/emotional condition to management.

　　Answers phones and emails, greets guests and residents and directs them to sign in/out. Ensures infection control practices such as universal masking for guests and residents.

　　Answers questions and provides customer service to guests and residents.

　　Makes emergency response calls if needed. Prepared to act in urgent situations. Helps provide for the safety and security needs of each resident. Intervenes in problems to prevent them from escalating and communicating issues so they may be addressed.

　　Light housekeeping duties as assigned. Gathers and disposes of bagged trash. May include cleaning common areas.

　　Completes required documentation such as the shift report log, reportable events forms, email communications, fire drill reports, work orders and other paperwork as directed.

　　Communicates with residents, families and staff in a professional manner. Communicates information to the appropriate people so that feedback can be addressed.

　　May facilitate or set up recreational activities depending on the shift.

　　Performs other duties as required.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Education:

　　High school graduate or equivalency

　　Key Competencies:

　　Ability to interact with wide variety of personalities and types of individuals;

　　Ability to manage multiple tasks and still meet individual resident needs;

　　Ability to remain calm in stressful moments and exercise mature judgement;

　　Ability to read reports and document appropriately and communicate effectively.

　　Ability to learn computer programs necessary in job requirements
