Description:
Our staff is currently searching for MIG welders/fabricators for a trailer manufacturer. You'll be responsible for working from a blueprint of a product that needs to be made. Once you have a print, you will work to fabricate the parts from mild steel. This will include using hand tools such as drills, sockets, hand grinders, and other tools to ensure the parts meet specs. There are also fixtures that you'll use in order to weld pieces together which will require fitting parts correctly, leveling off, and squaring off pieces. In order to fabricate, you must be able to accurately read a tape measure.
You will only be welding mild steel and conducting 1G through 4G welds. This will be strictly MIG welding. You will conduct flat welds, vertical up and down, and overhead welds, and also use a plasma torch to cut materials.
This role will be working to build one complete unit for a client. After fabrication and welding are completed, wiring, electrical units, hoses, and hydraulics will be added. You're not required to have this experience before starting in the role - you will be trained - but those skills can set you apart.
