Caregivers provide training, support, and coaching in grouphome settings - supports could include teaching people how to:

　　prepare for/participate in leisure activities gym workouts, basketball,Special Olympics sports, dances, crafts, etc.

　　maintain living space, personal hygiene, and balance in their home life& weekly schedules

　　participate in activities, exercise, practice etiquette, and developcoping skills & self esteem

　　plan and prepare meals, grocery shop, operate household appliances, andmaintain a budget

　　use community resources, understand their rights, and be safety aware

　　Some positions may require assisting individuals with hygiene/personalcare. A comprehensive two week, weekday, daytime orientation is providedand required (this is paid training). Hiring immediately. EOE

　　Shifts available: Fri 3p-Midnight + Sat/Sun 8a-8p, OR 3rd shift SatMidnight-8a + Sat/Sun overnight 8p-8a

　　Requirements for a weekend caregiver:

　　High school diploma or accredited GED

　　Valid drivers license, good driving record, dependable vehicle

　　Good written and verbal communication skills

　　Must be able to lift 50 lbs or of own body weight, whichever is less

　　Work experience or knowledge regarding the needs of individuals withintellectual/developmental disabilities is beneficial, but not required

　　Able to attend a daytime training during the first weeks of employment

　　Other beneficial experience: CNA, CMA, Direct Care, HHA, caregiver,third shift, restorative aide, elder care, Independent skills trainer,Medical Aide, direct support, Medical Assistant, non CNA, nursing home,adult care, special education, psychology, teaching, advocacy, homesupports, mental Health, human services, 2nd shift, 3rd shift, weekendshift, home health aide, overnight.
