  Job Description

  AECOM Water is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer for our growing Austin, TX office. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction, and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.

  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  Performs major portions of assigned water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure related projects

  Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures

  Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, preparation of technical memorandum, preparation of contract documents such as specifications and drawings

  Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments

  Provides guidance to graduate level engineers

  Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision

  Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works

  Co-ordinates with other disciplines, sub-consultants, contractors and regulatory reviews

  Qualifications

  Minimum Requirements:

  BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience within the water/wastewater industryPreferred Qualifications:

  Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  Texas EIT, with plans to pursue a PE License

  Detail oriented and ability to multi-task

  Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams

  Flexible – can adapt to shifting priorities / work schedules

  Proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

  Participate as member of professional and technical societies

  Additional Information

  Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000.
