Warehouse Tarp Operator

Position Description

Job Summary

Come start a career with us at CertainTeed as a Warehouse Tarp Operator. In this position, employees will tarp trucks in the warehouse safely and efficiently to safely transport products from CertainTeed to our customers.

Primary Functions: Tarp Operations:• Understand all safety procedures associated with the tarp operation • Strap and edge protector application procedures• Tarp machine operations (machine operations)• Ergonomics associated with handling tarps • Ergonomics associated with handling tarp materials (poly sheet rolls)• Understand hand safety associated with strap tarp handling • Understand Pedestrian Mobile Equipment safety in the work area• General housecleaning of the work area• Operate front-end loader, forklift, dump truck, bulldozer, water truck, and other mobile equipment• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner• Understand Plant Distribution Safety Rules• Able to understand and apply all safety procedures• Understand and follow all SOPs related to the Distribution (tarp) operations

• Understand all Plant emergency situations procedures• Complete Employee Safety Orientation all safety training programs• Report all safety incidents to Team or Group Leaders• Proper use of necessary PPE required in the Plant work areas• Could be reassigned and required to perform other duties as requested or, directed

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications • High school or equivalent (Required) • Excellent team working skills • Ability to demonstrate acceptable attendance and work days, nights, or weekends as scheduled • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hard hats • Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds • Ability to work 8 hour shifts – 7 am to 3 pm or 3 pm to 11 pm or 11 pm to 7 am
