Job Title: Warehouse Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead who is fluent in English and capable of speaking Spanish. The ideal candidate will be a licensed and trained sit-down forklift operator with general warehouse experience, including receiving cargo, unloading trucks, weighing, measuring, and creating warehouse receipts in our warehouse management system. Basic computer entry skills via desktop computer or tablet are required. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for receiving and unloading trucks at the time of delivery using a forklift, verifying shipments against inland freight bills, weighing, measuring, and entering shipments into our WMS system, general packaging, and preparing shipments for export. The role also includes organizing shipments to ensure they are processed FIFO and timely on the same day. The working hours are from 8 am to 4 pm.

Responsibilities

Receive and unload trucks at the time of delivery using a forklift.

Verify shipments at the time of delivery to ensure they match back to inland freight bills.

Weigh, measure, and enter shipments into our WMS system.

Perform general packaging and prepare shipments for export.

Organize shipments to ensure they are processed FIFO and timely on the same day.

Essential Skills

Fluent in English and capable of speaking Spanish.

Licensed and trained sit-down forklift operator.

General warehouse experience, including receiving cargo, unloading trucks, weighing, measuring, and creating warehouse receipts.

Basic computer entry skills via desktop computer or tablet.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Must be open to performing other roles and being helpful in the warehouse.

Able to lead and serve effectively in the warehouse environment.

Work Environment

The company was incorporated in Florida in 1986 and specializes in sourcing and shipping services to a variety of companies throughout the Caribbean. The core business includes transporting grocery items, hardware and building materials, hotel and restaurant supplies, and more. The work environment is structured around an 8 am to 4 pm schedule, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness in operations.

Job Type Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medley, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
