For information about our bureau go to: http://www.boem.gov/ Responsibilities This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), Office of Communications, Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs, duty stationed in Washington, DC. At the full performance level (GS-14) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Responds to congressional inquiries, initiatives, legislation, and correspondence. 2. Prepares senior leadership for congressional briefings and hearings. 3. Prepares hearing and mark-up summaries for the Director, Deputy Director, and other BOEM staff. 4. Serves as liaison with Members of Congress, congressional committees, and staff on a multitude of issues and concerns of the BOEM. 5. Participates in the development and implementation of congressional and legislative program strategies for highly visible or national priority programs. BOEM has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval. Salary Information: GS-13: ($117,962 - $153,354) per annum. GS-14: ($139,395 - $181,216) per annum. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level. This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available. Writing clear and concise hearing reports, testimonies, briefing papers, or correspondence. Must meet all.
