  About the job:

  Luxfer Group is seeking an experienced manufacturing executive to join our team in the new role of Vice President of Business Transformation.

  You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with Luxfer’s individual business unit leaders as we develop new business strategies and drive business transformation through challenging assumptions around our existing operating models and structure.

  With a strong background of operational management and business transformation, you will be capable of identifying and leading major internal programs related to lean manufacturing, while also exploring new business models that may include consolidations, outsourcing, partnerships and mergers and acquisitions. 

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Developing alternate strategies across the global operations that unlock and bring new value to the organization.

  Leading Business Transformation programs including Simplification, Reorganization, Consolidation and Supply Chain Optimization.

  Supporting Luxfer’s Business Units leaders with major Lean Operations initiatives to deliver increased customer satisfaction and improved margins.

  Project Management of complex change programs, working with multi-disciplinary teams across our global organization.

  Secondment to individual business units to support existing management in driving sustainable improvements.

  Supporting Luxfer’s ongoing M&A activities, including initial evaluations, due diligence, and integration of any newly acquired businesses, as well as exiting any discontinued businesses.

  Participating actively in the day-to-day leadership of the company, as well as strategic execution, as a member of the executive leadership team. 

  Effective development of tools to clearly communicate strategies and project status to executive leadership and the board of directors.

  Addressing other corporate projects as assigned by the CEO.

  Required Skills and Abilities:

  Proven leadership ability, with fast-paced execution of change.

  Strategic acumen with expertise and capacity to challenge current thinking.

  Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.

  Broad experience in lean manufacturing and driving increased velocity across manufacturing and business processes.

  Capable of operating independently and as part of a team.

  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create strong internal and external relationships.

  Dedicated, accountable and results-oriented, with a sense of urgency.

  Ability to absorb information and build relationships quickly.

  Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.

  Willingness to work 50% away from home in various US locations for project assignments.

  Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  Four-year degree, ideally in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

  Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in an executive leadership role within diverse manufacturing businesses.

  Proved track record of running a best-in-class manufacturing facility, driving organizational improvement, and restructuring, and participating in or leading M&A activities.
