Clients may receive as little as 4 hours of care, while others require 24-hour care. As a Veteran Caregiver, you have the rewarding job of helping veterans live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in the places they love. You competently provide non-medical care and home companionship, helping with various responsibilities such as grocery shopping. With the client’s dignity always at the forefront of your mind, you help veterans maintain proper personal hygiene. You are gentle and professional as you aid with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding. At times, you provide companionship to veterans who have dementia or cognitive impairments.
