Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Vessel Operator to join our team in Anacortes, WA. This person will be responsible for the safe and effective navigation and operation of various response vessels supporting pre-booming operations and planned and emergency response projects. The primary duty of a vessel operator is to operate a 34-ft, inboard, single-screw vessel. This a full-time position with a rotating schedule. [This person must live within 20 miles of Anacortes. **Vessel Operation:
**
Safely operate response vessels during deployment, towing, and anchoring of oil spill containment boom and other equipment. Responsible for supervising crew. Keep vessels, equipment, and facilities maintained by performing various maintenance and cleaning duties.Participate in meetings, training, drills, and safety audits as required.Perform other duties as assigned.Drive company vehicles as needed.MUST HAVE PRIOR MARITIME EXPERIENCE
**Typical Schedule for Full-Time Employees:

Week 1: work seven days a week from 6 AM--6 PM (day shift). Week 2: seven days off. Week 3: work seven days a week from 6 PM-6 AM (night shift). Week 4: seven days out. Schedule repeats.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent* *
**Required Experience

Must be 18 years of age or older.3-5 years of experience as a vessel operatorExperience with close-quarters handling of single-screw inboard vessels to 40.'Experience with vessel operations in high currents and challenging weather conditionsMUST HAVE PRIOR MARITIME EXPERIENCE* *

**Physical / Mental Requirements
