Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Purchasing Analyst in Richmond, Virginia. This role is primarily focused on handling daily procurement operations within the IT sector. The position is 100% on-site and involves processing and maintaining electronic procurement requests, reconciling vendor inquiries, and procuring IT goods and services in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle the day-to-day procurement functions, including selecting the most suitable procurement method.

• Efficiently process and maintain electronic procurement requests received through the Procurement service desk.

• Reconcile vendor inquiries and discrepancies to ensure smooth operations.

• Participate in vendor meetings to discuss and resolve any procurement-related issues.

• Evaluate purchase requests from end users, working with them to obtain accurate specifications and/or requirements.

• Ensure maximum competition in procurement processes by implementing effective competitor analysis strategies.

• Procure IT goods and services in adherence with established policies and procedures.

• Administer contracts effectively, ensuring all agency policies are followed.

• Handle pre-bid and pre-proposal processes efficiently to ensure the best procurement outcomes.

Requirements • Proficiency in implementing and adhering to Procedures and Policies

• Extensive knowledge in Procurement and handling Discrepancies

• Familiarity with Consumer Electronics and ability to conduct Conference Calls

• Ability to understand and interpret Specifications and perform Competitor Analysis

• Experience in Service Desk operations and Contract Administration

• Demonstrated ability to Procure items and handle Vendor Inquiries

• Experience in managing Purchase Requests in compliance with Agency Policies

• Proficient in executing Procurement Functions and managing Procurement Requests

• Experience with Pre-bid and pre-Proposal procedures

• Knowledge of NAND gate operations

• Experience in Contracts Finance
