About UX Research Manager, WhatsApp Monetization

  WhatsApp drives the adoption of Meta monetization products in parts of the world where we have historically had smaller revenue opportunities. We are looking for a Research Leader to support a team of researchers working across technical areas including value discovery from the WhatsApp SMB app intent to create ads, signals tracking, ROI improvement and AI enabled personalization of campaigns and more. Beyond the ads technicalities, however, is a human - a solopreneur/ a medium sized business that has rarely had an online business presence, forget knowing about online ads! If you are a person, who is motivated by the complexity this poses around convincing the unconvinced / uninformed user base while loving the challenge of meeting revenue targets through an outstanding user experience, then this role is for you.

  UX Research Manager, WhatsApp Monetization Responsibilities:

  Independently manage a research team that is large in size and/or complexity.Enjoy being hands on in supporting product direction and execution through strong UXR leadership while keeping abreast of future trends and industry changing shiftsHave a point of view about strategic decisions, using insights from the team. Understand how to influence stakeholders and leaders to implement the best ideas.Become a trusted, strategic partner to product stakeholders by communicating and demonstrating the value of user research, and by delivering insights that lead to demonstrable business value.Communicate clearly and effectively across all organizational levels.Show care and set clear expectations and goals for individuals and the team.Make staffing decisions based on business priorities, both short term and long term, as well as team strengths and motivation.Identify gaps and solutions for future growth and scale within the team or organization, including system, product, function, partnership, culture and/or organization opportunities.Responsible for the quality of the team, including coaching, growing IC's and managers (if applicable) and coaching under-performing team members.Build a diverse and an inclusive environment across the team, model inclusive behaviors, and hold managers accountable.Give clear, actionable feedback on a timely basis.Partner highly effectively with Data Science and Product Growth around quantified funnel conversion, experimentation and strategic and tactical improvementsMinimum Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree or significant experience conducting UX research with meaningful business impact15+ years of experience conducting and/or studying research post-Bachelor's degree8+ years of experience directly managing, coaching and developing full-time researchersExperience building and scaling successful consumer and/or ads products, with an excellent consumer product sensibility.Have experience working with teams on technical issues including ads networks, ads optimization, signals collection, improving return on improvement, media marketingExperience navigating and supporting teams through high ambiguity and rapid changeExperience directly managing across different research methodologiesExperience directly conducting primary research (either qualitative or quantitative) end-to-end (i.e., designing, fielding, analyzing and reporting out data)Experience building teams over time through hiring, growing, and retaining high-performing researchersExperience building and setting research strategy that connects with business strategyTrack record of translating research into business impactExpertise working with cross-functional teams leading engineering, marketing, sales, and partnerships and engineering teams.Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience with business products, business insights, and product developmentHave experience in working with SMBs and enterprise customersAbout Meta:
