About Technical Program Manager - Developer Infrastructure

  Facebook Reality Labs is dedicated to bringing Virtual and Augmented Reality products to people around the world. We are looking for a talented and experienced Technical Program Manager who will help drive the successful roadmapping, definition, implementation and delivery of developer infrastructure that powers our VR and Horizon/Metaverse products.As a Technical Program Manager in the Reality Labs Developer Infrastructure TPM team, you will play a key role in defining, and driving highly complex, cross-functional software programs that ensure developers have the tools they need to efficiently build the future of AR/VR computing. These programs have high leadership visibility and span multiple teams and systems across teams.You will collaborate with engineering, product management, legal, data science and policy on strategy, team goals, and define the software roadmap. The primary responsibility for this role is to lead execution of all phases of the software development cycle, communicate program details to create alignment across the organization, manage schedules, identify risks and mitigations, manage escalations, propose trade-offs and provide clear communication to project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering value to customers, enjoys working in technically complex areas, and handles ambiguity and changing priorities well.

  Required Skills:

  Technical Program Manager - Developer Infrastructure Responsibilities:

  Develop developer infrastructure roadmaps based on product and technical requirements and business needs.

  Lead cross functional teams implementing the roadmap from the early stage of development through launch. Lead launch/release activities as it pertains to software features and deliverables.

  Work across geographic locations to help drive successful adoption of developer infrastructure in our automation labs and data centers.

  Engage with cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks/issues, and to deliver software features.

  Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks.

  Develop best practices and product development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment. Evangelize those practices to enable them to scale across different products.

  Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans.

  Ensure project documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review.

  Identify resources needed and work closely with the team leads to maintain full visibility of multiple projects, ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  5+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager or Software Product Manager managing software programs from inception to production.

  Experience launching products or delivering large software releases.

  Program-level strategic sw roadmap planning, interaction with executive level management, complex issue resolution and effective communication

  Knowledge of software development processes and best practices.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience dealing with large scale infrastructure aimed improving developer productivity.

  Knowledge of software development processes such as CI/CD and/or Testing Frameworks.

  Public Compensation:

  $134,000/year to $196,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
