  Working with Pfizer's dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment.

  Your prior work experience and ability to apply your breadth of knowledge will help you adapt the standard methods and procedures. You will help us identify required delivery and process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput and quality. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.

  How You Will Achieve It

  Manage own time, professional development, and accountable for own results.

  Prioritize own workflow and assist in prioritizing the workflow of less-experienced colleagues.

  Make useful recommendations regarding improved machine performance.

  Follow safety procedures, recommended practices, job safety analysis (JSA), safe work permits and complies with plant safety programs at all time.

  Coordinate maintenance and project manager activities with production personnel to minimize downtime.

  Know general shop safety practices, including handling and storage of potentially dangerous equipment.

  Ensure utility activities comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (also see cGMP) and other related regulatory practices.

  Read and follow equipment schematics, blueprints logic diagrams and engineering drawings.

  Perform calibration of production and facility equipment without supervision.

  Use electrical testing equipment including multi-meters, clamp-on current meters, meggers etc. in a safe manner.

  Analyze equipment and line problems and implement resolutions.

  Instruct other technicians in the intricacies of assigned machinery and equipment.

  Design and install electrical sensors or control systems to enhance performance, and complete related corrective maintenance.

  Create machine control logistic software and hardware for a moderate level of complexity.

  Qualifications

  Must-Have

  High School Diploma or GED

  4+ years of experience

  Excellent communications skills using English language.

  AC/DC electrical theory

  Understanding of analog signals and process loops and the means of which to troubleshoot and simulate those signals.

  Method of measurement (tool metrology) as pertains to calibration of process and facilities equipment. Electrical power distribution equipment, including transformers, load centers, breakers, bus ducts, motor control centers (MCC's) and lighting distribution.

  Mechanical components including variable speed drives, gearboxes, gears, bearing chains, couplings, pumps, and mechanical seals.

  Mathematical calculations as related to problem solving & troubleshooting the preceding components.

  Knowledge in

  Pneumatic control systems

  Calibration systems

  Electro-mechanical systems

  Computer Systems

  PLC's

  Instruct other technicians in the intricacies of assigned equipment.

  Instruct the machine/process operators in operation of machinery.

  Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of production and/or facility equipment without supervision.

  Provide supervision to lower-level technicians in instruction of job activities.

  Follow oral & written instructions.

  Deal effectively with all levels of employees

  Show initiative & dependability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  Demonstrate initiative to analyze equipment efficiency and develop design enhancements.

  Integration of project implementation with production personnel and management to include multi• level buy-in and efficient scheduling.

  Set priorities.

  Organize other technician's workloads.

  Delegate and assign responsibility to lower-level technicians while acting as a peer, role-model, and a leader.

  Must be able to work overtime as required including Holidays.

  Must be available for On-Call work as needed.

  Nice-to-Have

  Pharmaceutical and/or Bio-Pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of {Current} Good Manufacturing Practices {part of GxP} operationsPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  The salary for this position ranges from $30.77 to $51.28 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
