Insight Global is searching for a TSSCI VMWare Team Lead to join our team supporting a government customer in Fort Belvoir, VA!
Job Responsibilities -
Manage daily operations of VMware infrastructure, including updates, testing, and deployment of vSphere and vCenter product releases.
Install and configure new servers, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. according to standards and project requirements.
Administer physical and virtual servers, primarily Windows and Linux servers.
Support server virtualization, server provisioning, physical server maintenance, security compliance, and daily operations.
Manage VMware vSphere with a focus on automation, and administer enterprise storage and backup systems.
Maintain server lifecycle, including provisioning, maintenance, and decommissioning of hardware.
Maintain the virtualized server environment through configuration, implementation, management, and support activities.
Monitor the health status, service performance, and utilization of the virtual server infrastructure environment.
Implement and maintain compliance with information security policies and technical standards, and remediate non-compliances.
Apply regular security patches and software updates.
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures and communicate with impacted parties.
Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems, including transitioning and migrating corporate systems.
Administer desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks, including account monitoring, security, and operating system installation.
Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
Support IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Skills and Requirements
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience.
Experience with ESX OS, VMware vCenter, NetApp, and 6-8 years of virtualization experience.
Experience in designing, implementing, and sustaining VMware, VDI, and similar environments.
Ability to provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
Knowledge of related hardware and software: Dell, Hewlett Packard, Cisco, NetAPP, HCI, Active Directory, SCCM.
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI.
Required Certifications:
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification.Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent.
Computing Environment certification: MCSE Windows Server 2016 or equivalent to start.
