  Parsons is now hiring experienced Engineers with a desire to work on large infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community. Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your engineering knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills. In this role, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks by applying standard engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline, which will involve CAD (computer aided design) applications.

  Responsibilities:

  Completes a variety of assignments such as plans, specifications, and estimates suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAD and other engineering software. Projects may include both State and local agency transportation assignments and National design-build projects.

  Prepares standard engineering computations, quantity takeoffs, specifications and other construction documents.

  Prepares text and exhibits for engineering and environmental reports for transportation projects.

  Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.

  Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)

  Working knowledge of CAD (especially Micro-station, Geopak, Open Roads Designer, and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering

  2+ years of related work experience

  Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate desired

  Experience in Illinois transportation related projects is a plus but not required

  Salary Range:

  $59,300.00 - $103,800.00
