Job Description
Our Health and Safety Management culture provides a framework to assist in the day-to-day safety management of all colleagues, wherever they work. It is incorporated within everything we do as default. Each year we determine our health and safety themes for the year which guide our activities at a Group level. We base these upon our previous performance, and what we want to achieve.We are looking to welcome a Regional Health & Safety Manager for our North America Region. Reporting to the Regional General Manager and the Group Safety Manager, the role will be responsible for:Visible leadership and effective communication of good health and safety management.Review and update health and safety plans with the Region General Manager on a regular basis, at least once a year.Arrange for annual review of performance against the plans.Set and monitor health and safety objectives.Audit and inspect offices and projects.Undertake safety training when required.Undertake incident investigations when required.Keep abreast of developments in health and safety legislation and practice and act upon any changes accordingly.Prepare monthly health and safety reports for the executive team.Lead a team of health and safety professionals.Analyze health and safety data to identify emerging trends and suggest corrective/mitigation actions.
Candidate Specification
We welcome applications from candidates with the following experience:Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees and stakeholders.Possess excellent communication skills and effective planning and time management skills.Willingness to undertake regular travel across our office and sites.Undertaken a similar role within an A/E/C (architectural, engineering, construction) environment, preferably within a consulting firm.Professional Federal (OSHA), State and industry regulations.Understanding of health and safety management systems and all relevant legislation.CSP or CIH certification(s) and degree in relatable field.Demonstrated leadership skills running a safety and health function.Exposure and understanding of ISO 45001 is preferred.
