Position Summary(Basic Job Function)
This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
Unit Position Summary
Arranges meetings with team members, community partners, and volunteers; anticipate and provide logistical sui pport.
Assists with organizing training resources and logistics for training volunteers for their coaching roles.
Serves as point of contact for project activities with local agencies operating in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties and community partners.
Participates in some online/virtual and in person coaching activities.
Assists with program evaluation including data collection and file maintenance.
Assists in developing and maintaining a website for the project.
Participates in other tasks as needed.
Desired Qualifications
A degree in social work or related social or health sciences (e.g. public health, communication, psychology, counseling); project experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is helpful.
Prior experience assisting on projects with multiple stakeholders.
Understanding and fluency with email and calendar tools, and logistics required for organizing and coordinating meetings.
Independent thinking, ability to anticipate and address challenges and conflicts in availability
Skills
Strong communication skills
Calendar planning and organizing
Database management
Experience in conducting in-person/telephone interviews
Skilled use of basic technology (e.g., social media, Zoom, calendars).
