Specific service areas of multi-modal and sustainable transportation include street and intersection design, transit design and planning, corridor and safety studies, trails and greenways. As a Planning Intern, you will collaborate with our multidisciplinary planning team, along with a diverse group of engagers, engineers, and designers to support corridor studies, subarea studies, comprehensive plans, freight plans, and other planning efforts. You will collaborate with the team to execute data collection and analysis efforts, goal and vision setting, mapping and analysis efforts, and drafting of reports and recommendations. You may also assist with the execution of engagement strategies that support our planning process. Responsibilities: As a Planning Intern, you will experience a broad range of challenging project opportunities as part of our growing planning group. Collect, create, and analyze data to inform decision-making. Conduct mapping and spatial analyses using geographic information systems (GIS) and other industry-standard data platforms. Interpret and communicate the results of analyses to technical and non-technical audiences. Draft public engagement plans and assist with preparing for and staffing events. Assist with report and memo writing. Required Qualifications: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Urban and/or Regional Planning, Urban Studies, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or similar field. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Collaborative and enthusiastic attitude. Good analytical and critical thinking skills. Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
