　　*SUMMARY: * The purpose of this position is to manage tasks like coordinating, implementing, and communicating the safety, health, and environmental programs for the organization. This position will sustain the Mission and Motto and Food Safety and Quality Statement of the Mennel Milling Company.

　　*PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: *Monday through Friday 8AM -- 5PM.  Will vary, depending on workload. 

　　ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation. *

　　Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Environmental, Health, and Safety management. Assist corporate EHS team auditing and implementing EHS Programs.Maintain relevant EHS logs, documentation, and manages EHS training compliance/completion. Aid and advise on EHS issues to make recommendations to facility management.Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis. Analyze accident trend data, develop mitigation strategies and promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors. Assist in the development and presentation of relevant EHS training and new hire orientation.Observe EHS regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel. Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies. Conduct daily and monthly EHS meetings/trainings and schedule as needed. Ability to oversee Hazardous Waste Storage area and ensure regulatory agency compliance i.e. labeling, containment, proper disposal, documentation, etc. Perform Storm Water Discharge sampling and document events.Performs all regulatory compliance reports for environmental and safety (EPA/OSHA).Assist in emergency response and first aid treatment. Assist in administering and maintaining compliance programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Action Plans, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Respiratory Protection, Bloodborne Pathogens, Confined Space, and Fall Protection etc.Other duties may be assigned.

　　*QUALIFICATIONS: **The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job. *

　　A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required/preferred;

　　and/or equivalent work experience is required/preferred;

　　Minimum 1 year of progressive work experience in EHS, safety management, or related field.  

　　Demonstrated expertise in EHS standards, policies, and procedures

　　Excellent technical writing, speaking, and presentation skills

　　Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
