About Training & Development Manager

  Description

  The Training and Development Manager is responsible for the overall management of the design and delivery of learning and development solutions for the leadership development lifecycle. Helping develop team members and individual contributors to emerging leaders and management positions, as well as advancing current management team members. These functions include new hire onboarding, leading, organizing & facilitating both virtual and in-person training events for all of Bunzl Processor Division (BPD), assisting with on-campus collegiate recruiting and external recruiting. This position will report directly to the Director of Training and Development.

  Ideal Candidate will reside in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

  Responsibilities:

  Build, deliver and manage the curriculum for classes and programs of various BPD training and development modules in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  Facilitate and manage in-house and virtual training programs as well as coordinate various other training programs delivered by external vendors.

  Assess learning needs and recommend targeted solutions that enhance the effectiveness of the workforce.

  Serve as the key training consultant for branch and team development needs.

  Work closely with our Bunzl North America Corporate Training Team in St. Louis.

  Oversee Employee Engagement Surveys and run our internal Communications Committee.

  Identify ways to monitor development program ROI. Gather, analyze, and report on program effectiveness and performance data.

  Research and create a catalog of relevant high-quality development opportunities and programs.

  Define venue needs for training events and negotiate contracts on Bunzl’s behalf. Serve as Bunzl on-site liaison to venue staff.

  Manage training program budget.

  Create and roll-out on-boarding and orientation materials and information.

  Assist in recruiting for all positions, at Career Fairs and through LinkedIn Recruiter.

  Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

  Requirements:

  High School diploma required

  Bachelor's degree required.

  Minimum of three years of Training Management and Facilitation experience preferred.

  Exceptional Facilitation Skills required.

  Knowledge and experience using virtual training platforms. Microsoft Teams preferred.

  Must be flexible in managing constantly changing priorities and dealing comfortably with ambiguity.

  Must possess considerable knowledge of people management and the principles, practices and procedures of Human Resources Management.

  Must have a demonstrated strong employee and customer orientation.

  Ability to monitor multiple projects simultaneously.

  Must have effective interpersonal skills, the ability to form relationships with internal customers is critical.

  Moderate travel of approximately 16 overnight trips per year that could include weekends.
