Assist as needed in recruiting, training, and supervising all personnel, volunteers, other non-profit agency workers, public service employment workers, and other workers assigned to this site to ensure compliance with directives and guidelines. Assist site manager in the scheduling of volunteers and compilation of volunteer hours. Review, approve and forward all employee time sheets to the Service Extension Assistant Director at Divisional Headquarters in the absence of the site manager. Oversee and participate, as needed, in the sorting, tagging, pricing and delivering of donated items to the sales floor. Oversee all departments and ensure that an adequate inventory is maintained on the sales floor. Oversee and participate in the storage of donated items and in the accumulation of overstocked donations. Provide material assistance from the store's inventory to fire victims, referrals and walk-in clients in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the local Service Unit committee. Forward all documentation to the Service Unit Client Rep in a timely manner. Report all safety hazards, including property and casualty claims, according to The Salvation Army policies and procedures to the Regional Thrift Store Manager. This position is responsible for the protection of personnel, property, and building. All losses should be immediately reported to the Regional Thrift Store Manager. Ensure the store maintains an attractive sales floor. Maintain a hi h level of cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store.
