Temporary Overnight Warehouse Cashier -- Schedule: 8-10 hour shift/Night shift (9:30 p.m. -6:15 a.m.) Sunday to ThursdayWork Location: Hunts Point Produce Market, Bronx, New YorkAnticipated Assignment Duration: 6-8 Weeks

　　Essential Job Duties:- Provide prompt and courteous service by offering polite greeting, obtaining tickets and payment method, answering questions, relaying information on pricing, and thanking customers- Provide exceptional customer service and exceed customer expectations- Demonstrate and understand compliance of the company's safety processes- Act and work in a manner consistent with the company's core values- Process customers at checkout using the point of sale (POS) system- Open and close registers- Follow established cash, check and credit card acceptance procedures- Make witnessed drops/deposits of excess funds to the vault, order cash increases/changes as needed, and count own register at shift end to maintain accurate register funds- Assists in the opening and closing duties, collecting register paperwork, stocking registers, cleaning the area.

　　Physical/Sensory Requirements:- Ability to exert 10-20 pounds of force occasionally. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, infrequently

　　Minimum Job Qualifications:- Must be 18 years of age or older- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred- Bilingual a plus, but not required- Knowledge of basic math skills- Customer service experience- Verifiable Cashier or comparable experience with 2 years of relevant work experience, accurate calculation, customer service skills, ability to use 10 key machine, scanner, computer, data-entry, calculator and cash register- Some bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items with need to lift and move bulky and heavy items without assistance--up to 20 pounds for 8-10 hours/duration of shift- Ability to follow instructions and complete required training- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
