　　Summary of Role:

　　GlobalFoundries Fab 9 is seeking skilled and motivated candidates toparticipate in the GlobalFoundries Maintenance Technician Program withVermont State University.

　　To be selected for the program, successful candidates must pass througha panel interview process for the educational portion of the position, aset of interviews with maintenance shift managers for an assessment onyour technical aptitude and competence, and pre-testing (math)administered by Vermont State University to be considered.

　　Candidates will be expected to work full-time while attending oneVermont State University course per semester, for 3 semesters per year.The program consists of 9 total accredited VTSU Courses all paid for byGlobalFoundries.

　　The program offers internal technician skill-based courses andon-the-job training. Candidates accepted into this program, withsuccessful completion, and satisfactory performance, will receive acertificate of completion, and will attain \ 33 credits towards a2-year Associates Degree in General Engineering. Opportunities exists tocontinue education through GlobalFoundries Tuition ReimbursementProgram.

　　A candidate will be performing preventive and first call maintenance tosupport semiconductor equipment and its support equipment. Ability toexecute and perform Quality Standard Work and provide leadership incontinuous improvement to improve equipment productivity. This personneeds to be flexible and dependable to meet business demands onequipment.

　　This position is in the 200mm factory in Essex Jct., Vermont and is ashift position working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts, which couldbe a day or night shift depending on business need. GlobalFoundries is a24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across allshifts.

　　Successful Manufacturing Technicians are self-motivated and workeffectively in team or individual situations and demonstrate flexibilityregarding assignments, work content, and work area.

　　Essential Responsibilities:

　　Ability to perform work in a standing position or the majority of a12-hour shift (excluding breaks)

　　Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughoutthe shift (preventive maintenance) and/or process issues
