Peraton is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Peraton is looking for a self-driven person to join our CDC’s Center for Forecasting & Outbreak Analytics (CFA) team. The functions of CFA are (1) Predict: Generating forecasts and analyses to support outbreak preparedness and response efforts, (2) Inform: Share timely, actionable information with the Federal government; STLT leaders, and the public, and (3) Innovate: Support research and development to improve outbreak forecasts and analyses. What You Will Do? • Provide full range of writer-editor support services to document and disseminate information pertinent to the various responsibilities of the center. a. Examples of documents to be drafted, developed and finalized includes standard operating procedures (SOPs), support level agreements (SLAs), platform technical documentation, required CDC Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) artifacts, white papers, ad-hoc reports, technical presentation slides/materials, security/SA&A deliverables, high-level architectural diagrams, meeting notes, governance documents, process flow diagrams, technical operating procedures, implementation plans, migration schedules, operations and maintenance manuals, Standard Operating Manuals, User Manuals • Develop, draft, proofread, edit, revise, and finalize documents using a wide variety of electronic and hard-copy formats. • Stand-up and manage an electronic, SharePoint document library or repository that is readily accessible to authorized personnel and use it to store and submit documents to the Government • Develop and remediate documents and materials to ensure compliance with 508 accessibility and usability standards as established by the CDC 508 Office • Ensure consistency of messaging and updates across all printed materials and online content. • Plan, schedule and coordinate the preparation, review, and approval of artifacts • Work with subject matter experts in drafting artifacts • Report on documentation preparation and status Basic Qualifications • Bachelors degree with 2+ years of experience • Strong interpersonal and professional skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent writing and grammatical skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to present complex data in clear, organized, concise text. • Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently. • Experience with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
