Our programdelivers depth and real experience so that you can truly evaluate potentialcareer paths within the work we do.What we look for in our Technical Services Interns:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel (priority),PowerPoint, Outlook, and AutoCAD required; working knowledge ofSharePoint prefAbility to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts,proposals, estimates, and other regularly encountered items.Data analysis experience preferred.Building system knowledge/experience and interest preferred.College Junior standing or higher is required.Working toward a Mechanical Engineering degree, resource/energymanagement, or a related engineering field is required.Availability in Summer 2024 (May/June start until August/Septemberdepending on school); part-time availability after Summer preferredMust be 18 years of age or olderWhat are our Technical Services Interns responsible for:Project SupportDemonstrates an understanding of basic engineering concepts related to energyefficiency, building systems, heat transfer, fluid flow, andthermodynamics or sustainability.Supports sustainability consulting activities. Includes energy and waterefficiency calculations and carbon calculation standards.Supports client sustainability and energy efficiency projects.Site visits to set up data logger deployment.Data analysis, including data entry and review.Archiving and filing of completed projects.Energy and Sustainability ResearchResearch new HVAC and/or lighting technology options.Coordinate with McKinstry Capital for federal grants.Research rebate and rebate trends.Research savings calculations.Utilizes both manual and packaged calculations software
