Consultants please conduct a seated interview. Applicants must have 20days experience with Farm / Irrigation / Livestock work. Applicantshired must be able to obtain a valid driver\'s license as driving onpublic roads may be required. Applicants must be able to lift up to 100pounds. Dates of need are (3/15/2024 11/15/2024). This order is for workin Buhl, Idaho area. Job duties may require split and/or straight shiftsdue to crop demands, such as 7:00 to 11:00 AM and 1:00 to 5:00 PM.Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties related to theproduction of alfalfa, dry beans, field corn, wheat, pasture, andcattle. The majority of the work activities during the overall contractperiod, however, will be related to general farm work/irrigation/cropproduction. General Farm Work will include the followingresponsibilities: maintain, drive, attach and operate farmimplements/tractors/equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilizeand harvest crops; bale hay and straw make minor mechanical adjustmentsand repairs on farm machinery; may mix and/or spray chemicals (accordingto appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable); removeundesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds; remove rocksfrom field; paint/repair farm structures; replace/repair fencing;perform general clean up of farm areas; drive, load/unload trucks;operate motor bike or all-terrain vehicle in the course of performingduties. Irrigation duties will include the following: Hand lines: liftand carry pipe sections weighing approximately 40 pounds on a sustainedbasis. Pivots: push on switch that activates circle sprinkler system.Flood Irrigation: shovel and pack dirt in low spots of embankment or cuttrenches in high areas to direct water flow; siphon water from floodedreservoir or ditch to channel water into designated areas; shovel or hoesoil to clear ditches/furrows and build embankments to appropriatelychannel water; mix and apply proper solutions to fill holes/cracks inpipes, ditches, and spillways, and make minor repairs to metal,concrete, and wooden frameworks in pipe and ditch valves and gates.Other Irrigation Duties: remove pipes/wheel lines from storage and layout/place in predetermined patterns in fields; lubricate, adjust, repairand replace parts such as sprinkler heads and drive chains using handtools; observe revolving sprinklers and adjust to ensure properoperation and uniform distribution of water;move/schedule/adjust/maintain and repair gated pipe: disassemble,service and store pipes/mainlines/wheel lines after irrigation season:pipe. To meet minimum acceptable performance standards when irrigating,the worker must, after a 10 day conditioning period, move an average ofat least 48 40-foot sections of 3-inch pipe or 44 40-foot sections of4-inch pipe per hour under normal working conditions. Duties related tothe production of livestock will include the following: check physicalcharacteristics, observe general condition of livestock and apply theappropriate care; examine animals to detect illness/injury/disease, rateof weight gain or to determine delivery time, assist in delivery; applyor administer medications, vaccines and/or insecticides; drive equipmentto haul/distribute feed/water; herd livestock; dock, castrate, brand,clip/tag and clamp livestock; hoist/stack bales of hay onto wagon/truck
