Brooks Instrument, a global manufacturer of flow and pressure measurement and control products for critical applications, and a division of ITW (A Fortune 200 Company) is seeking candidates for a Technical Product Marketing Specialist . This position will be based out of our headquarters facility in Hatfield, PA (Suburban Philadelphia). In addition to our Pennsylvania operations, Brooks maintains manufacturing locations in, Hungary, and Korea. The Company also maintains sales offices throughout the world. Our products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: life sciences, chemicals, semiconductor, analytical instruments, nuclear, and solar cells.
Basic Function
The Technical Product Marketing Specialist’s primary function is to enhance Brooks' global sales and profitability for the semiconductor business unit by actively supporting elements of the marketing mix (price, product, promotion, and distribution).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor and assess customers’ expectations for products and services.
Identify and understand emerging applications for Brooks' products.
Translate customers’ needs into specifications for Brooks’ products and services.
Make data driven decisions.
Support customer escalations.
Manage projects. Work closely with engineering, operations, and quality to bring to market products and services that meet customers’ requirements.
When required, work with sourcing or engineering to design and execute test plans to ensure optimal profitability.
Monitor the competitive environment. Identify threats and opportunities and be proactive in addressing those.
Give feedback where required on key features that Brooks’ may want to focus on to retain or gain market share.
Implement pricing strategies to maximize Brooks' opportunities for penetration and profit.
Perform profit analysis for current and proposed products.
Work with marketing communications to implement promotions, targeted communications, internet and social media strategies and other activities in support of the product, portfolio and market strategies.
Develop sales support material/literature, web content and training materials.
Work with sales and customers and travel as necessary to understand customers’ needs, support major account activity, maintain product awareness, support trade shows, provide training and assure factory performance.
Ability to work with others on a team and influence actions without formal authority.
Regular attendance.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field. Associate degree in Engineering with substantial relevant experience also considered.
1 to 3 years of relevant experience required.
Semiconductor industry experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills required.
Ability to work effectively on a team and across the organization to achieve objectives required.
Ability to understand and communicate technical information and an understanding of marketing responsibilities including product portfolio, price, promotion and distribution preferred.
