Teacher Aide Position

Shift School day hours with varied times between shifts 8a 330p
Required High School Diploma. Classroom experience (preferred). Working with or around children in some capacity.
Description

• Working with individual Special Needs students or groups on special instructional projects
• Providing the teacher with information about students that will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning and behavioral experiences
• Assisting students in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials
• Utilizing their own special skills and abilities by assisting in instructional programs in such areas as: foreign languages, arts, crafts, music, and similar subjects
• Assisting in related instructional work as required
• Assisting students with specific health-related activities as appropriate
• Assisting in the supervision and management of students when assigned by the administrator of the school
• Other duties as assigned

• Small group instruction
• Typically split across up to 3 classes to support ELA and math small group instruction
• Visits classroom(s) on a daily/bi-weekly basis
• Works with students on skill development based on training provided (i.e. using canned lessons)
• Follow schedules around the building
