  BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

  As a Systems Engineer II on this team you'll be responsible for assisting inthe design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide OperationsSupport Systems (OSS) applications and their associated operating systemsand databases. Responsible for Application Administration of OSS applicationssupporting all Charter Divisions. Will participate in full life-cycle ofsystems engineering activities of high-quality, scalable solutions.

  WHAT OUR SYSTEMS ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST

  Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance thecustomer experience.

  Contributes to design sessions with OSS Architects, Requirements Analysts,IT Operations and OSS Systems Engineers.

  Reviews existing integration capabilities, data sources, and proposedsolution designs for feasibility, cost and functionality.

  Creates detailed design documents and functional specifications for newapplications / services and for enhancements to existing systems / services.

  Creates work effort estimates for assigned tasks and support prioritizationand release management.

  Develops of core code modules, unit test tools and release notes forenhancements and bug fixes.

  Installs, administers, configures and maintains OSS applications includingoperating systems and related software.

  Provides 'on call' support to resolve OSS application issues after normalbusiness hours.

  Uses established change management processes, requiring operationalprocedures be performed with minimal customer impact, (i.e. duringestablished maintenance window).

  Works with database administrators to configure, tune and maintain databasesin variety of languages.

  Documents systems configurations and upgrades.

  Designs and implements change control policies and disaster recovery plans.

  Monitors and assists in managing applications, device availability,network conditions and system reliability and performance, service andprogram maintenance and storage resources.

  Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

  WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUMRequired QualificationsExperience:Application Development experience in relevant areas - 3 + years of experienceNetwork OSS application experience - 2 + years of experienceSystem Administration experience - 2 + years of experienceDatabase support and development experience - 2+ years of experienceEnterprise Application Integration (EAI) - 2 + years of experienceEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, orequivalent experience; May require Industry Standard CertificationsTechnical Skills: To be completed during/after intakeSkills:Demonstrated in-depth ability to conduct design sessions to specify solutiondesigns for feasibility, cost, and functionalityDemonstrated in-depth ability to create detailed documentation to functionallyunderstand new and existing applicationsDemonstrated in-depth ability to follow and implement established change andcontrol policies and proceduresDemonstrated in-depth ability to troubleshoot application problemsDemonstrated in-depth knowledg of development tools, applicationframeworks, and testing toolsDemonstrated in-depth knowledge of OSS applications and softwareDemonstrated in-depth knowledge of choosing the appropriate lifecycle and theplanning, monitoring and control of the systems engineering processAbilities: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.Travel Ability: Office EnvironmentSchedule:Full timeThis position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination ofin-office and remote days)

  Preferred QualificationsApplication Development experience in relevant areas - 5+ years of experience
