Job Description
As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and objectives.
Develop comprehensive CRM solution architectures that align with business goals and are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.
Define the Siebel CRM data model, business processes, and integration points with other systems.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee the customization, configuration, and scripting efforts within the Siebel CRM platform.
Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Integration and Data Management:
Design and oversee the integration of Siebel CRM with other systems and third-party applications.
Define data migration strategies and data governance policies for CRM data.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and optimize the performance of Siebel CRM solutions.
Identify bottlenecks and implement performance enhancements as needed.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure the security and compliance of Siebel CRM solutions, including data security and access control.
Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices related to CRM security and compliance.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design specifications, and system documentation.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to development teams and end-users.
Vendor and Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with Siebel vendors and stay informed about the latest updates, patches, and enhancements to the CRM platform.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, project managers, and executives to provide updates on project status and architectural decisions.
Responsibilities
As an Advisory Systems Engineer, you are expected to be an expert member of the problem-solving/avoidance team and be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues. Performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to management on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis, you will be expected to work with very limited guidance from management. Further, the Advisory Systems Engineer is sought by customers and Oracle employees to provide expert technical advice.
