Description

We are on the hunt for a diligent Systems Administrator to join our team for a mostly remote role in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be tasked with managing and enhancing our NVR systems, maintaining NAS storage units, and overseeing various network-related projects. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of our NVR systems, focusing on the Blue Iris software across multiple servers

• Identify and troubleshoot any issues with our servers, ensuring optimal performance and functionality

• Implement and manage our new Synology NAS storage unit as an integral part of the NVR system

• Perform regular updates and backup of the servers and NAS storage units

• Review and improve network practices, including the management of switches, access points, and firewalls

• Handle our Unify switches, Aruba access points, and Fortinet firewalls to ensure secure and efficient network operations

• Provide technical guidance and support as part of the IT team

• Participate in other network-related projects as necessary.

Requirements

Experience with NVR systems, specifically Blue Iris

Experience with NAS storage

Ability to implement Synology

Proficiency in Firewall Technologies is essential.

Experience with Aruba is required.

Familiarity with Fortinet Firewalls is expected.

Understanding and ability to work with Network Switches is necessary.

Knowledge of Router Switches is a must.

Ability to manage and operate Wireless Access Points is crucial.
