About Managing Director - Strategy & Analytics

  Job Description

  Delivery Success

  Responsible for business operations and resources within area of responsibility including people management and sales enablement.

  Accountable for fulfilling business goals, meeting budgets, maintaining strategic direction, and ensuring quality of delivery by consultants within their organization.

  Accountable for managing a substantive revenue stream and customer base.

  Responsible for cultivating Oracle cross-functional communications through the creation and maintenance of strategic relationships with management in other lines of business which may include Product Development, Product Marketing, Support, Consulting Sales, and License Sales.

  Interacts with executive levels, both internally and externally, regarding matters that influence policies and strategies.

  Leads and guides clients in developing innovative cross-channel digital strategies. Marries data insights with business recommendations to drive the customer’s business forward.

  Acts as a trusted advisor to clients by developing and guiding their digital roadmap and engagement plans. Accelerates results for clients while staying well within project scope and timelines.

  Leads efforts to help clients integrate their digital marketing across channels (email, web, social, mobile and display) and pivot from a silo based approach to an integrated one.

  Owns documentation of project needs and builds innovative and efficient approaches to efficiently execute against them. Coaches others to complete documentation.

  Continually monitors current digital data trends, new technology solutions, and competitive strategies to build understanding on how to apply to client needs.

  Develops client-facing presentations, applying understanding of marketing principles and business/industry acumen when presenting to clients.

  Communicates clearly and effectively on the phone or in person to small or large groups of internal and external constituents, including senior executives.

  Organizes and manages broad mix of moderately complex client projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines within budgeted hours.

  Owns documentation of formal requirements, use cases, user stories, test plans, etc. Applies a detail-oriented and thorough approach to ensure that quality solutions are developed are tested and meet business needs. Coaches others to complete documentation.

  Applies understanding of leading industry tools and statistical programming languages to solve business problems.

  Consolidates cross-channel and cross-LOB business challenges and data into cohesive, transformational roadmap and engagement plan. Drives large scale client projects and retainers across multiple point (product) solutions.

  Communicates complex thoughts in an easy to understand way for clients to absorb and evangelize throughout their company.

  Ultimately accountable for resolution of complex risks and issues.

  Practice Development (Value Creation)

  Actively develops new approaches and opportunities for expanding customer base.

  Identifies ways to automate processes and gain efficiencies.

  Influences customer leadership on key decisions.

  Identifies new solution offerings and helps support development of the offering for repeated use by multiple clients. Packages solutions by developing a SKU, preparing the go to market deck and training sales people on the solution.

  Establishes and communicates best practices to team. Demonstrates skill as an advisor on how to visualize data to provide insights that drives business decisions and improves overall business performance. Recommends approaches to further improving efficiency of repeatable analytics projects (e.g. devising automations).

  People Development

  Coaches, guides and directs large sized project teams.

  Provides strategic leadership for recruiting, staffing complex engagement and on-boarding effort for area of responsibility.

  Delivers on-time performance appraisals and develop training and career plans for direct reports.

  Professional Development

  Continually grows product, functional and industry knowledge through training/certification

  Shadows senior leaders to learn how to elevate client experience

  Shadows senior leaders or takes advantage of educational opportunities to learn how to manage and elevate direct reports

  Actively solicits, receives, and implements constructive feedback from clients, supervisors and peers

  Sponsors internal Oracle calls, webcasts, and events to better understand the strategic priorities of the company

  Experience:

  10+ years delivering digital multi-channel strategies within an agency environment t.

  5+ years leading a team of strategists and analytics professionals

  5+ years of successfully selling strategy and analytics services to customers.

  Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the United States only

  Hiring Range: from $154,800 to $338,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  11 paid holidays

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
