Job Description
Cyber, Electronic Warfare and Space (CEW&S), a division of HII Mission Technologies, provides full-spectrum cyber, EW, and space capabilities that address today’s rapidly changing, multi-domain global security threats and anticipate emerging threats. The objective is to support the 352nd Cyberspace Operations Squadron (COS), which operates, manages, trains and readies Airmen to execute cyberspace operations on our ARCADE program.
Cyber, Electronic Warfare and Space (CEW&S) is hiring a system administrator to provide on-site, day-to-day assistance to the 352 COS and support units with maintaining unit mission systems and subsystems IAW USAF and Joint IT standards.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Coordinate timely resolution of and follow-up on software and hardware problems with all levels of IT resources, including network, server, and application operations
• Troubleshoot and diagnose, maintain, service, and repair computer hardware, peripherals, and software; provide individual, hands-on training to users on request
• Provide network accounts and passwords
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources
• Ensure stored material confidence and protection IAW USAF and Joint standards to include back-ups, file plans, naming conventions, and storage
• Monitor the security of all technology; audit systems and report status; preserve information security, safeguard backups and other sensitive data
• Troubleshoot VTC systems, perform basic network infrastructure services, or oversee IT projects as necessary
Minimum Qualifications
3 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 1-year relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
• Must have a current TS/SCI and be willing to comply with SAP requirements
• Must have a current IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)
• Practical knowledge of system administration processes/practices
Preferred Requirements
• Practical systems administration experience in VMWare, installing/troubleshooting operating systems, workstation setup/troubleshooting, port usage, Linux, etc.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
