　　Have strong Linux & Networking Fundamentals. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with Linux, preferably in a large scale, distributed environment. 　　This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

　　A day in the life

　　Engineers in this role will work on automation, development, and operations to support AWS RDS Database services for US government customers. They will work in an agile environment, attend daily standup, and collaborate closely with teammates. They will work on exciting challenges at scale and tackle unsolved problems.

　　They will support the U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies to implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve unique technical problems.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

　　Bachelors or higher degree, OR, CSSLP certification

　　3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience

　　2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

　　4+ years of systems development in an database or IT environment

　　4+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience

　　2+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience

　　Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

　　5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

　　Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
