Systems Security EngineerJob LocationsUS-OH-WPAFBID2023-7569CategoryOtherTypeRegular Full-TimeOverviewCredence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a Systems Security Engineer in support of the Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapon Systems (CROWS) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.ResponsibilitiesSupport development of Systems Security Engineering (SSE) artifacts and templates for inclusion in systems engineering processes.Analyze efforts to incorporate SSE into systems engineering and provide recommendations for improvement.Work with team leads, cyber focus team, and team members as an active participant on the CROWS SSE Working Group.Assist in the implementation of MBSE principles to support system acquisition.Assist in ensuring the five-year budget and schedule are consistent with the action plan.Review processes and systems to assist with cyber resilient or cybersecurity initiatives.Assist with validating requirements analysis and cyber initiatives.Increase SSE diligence via collaboration with Program Management Offices (PMO), cyber focus teams, PPPs, and independent technical risk assessments.Appraise and recommend the technical implementation of the security design to ascertain security software, hardware, and firmware features affecting confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability, and non-repudiation.Appraise and recommend designs and solutions to defend weapon systems and critical networks against malicious and non-malicious exploitation throughout the full acquisition life cycle of portfolio programs.Support assessment of the cyber posture of systems and assist in the determination of a prioritization strategy to fix existing and future cyber vulnerabilities.Review existing and future cyber vulnerability assessments to identify targeted legacy systems and recommend mitigation strategies.Support the identification of current and future cyber analyses to understand and classify the criticality, risk of occurrence, and feasibility of mitigation strategies for legacy systems.Assist in the development of repeatable tools/processes/expectations to create centers of excellence for SSE oversight.Assist in the development of reports outlining the mitigation objectives and system cyber resiliency strategy.Provide support to review products that include the following: technical evaluations/plans; engineering studies, reports and analyses; acquisition plans; and other program/technical documents as they relate to cybersecurity, resiliency, and survivability of weapon systems.Support the SETR process and documentation (i.e. PDR, CDR, etc.) development, consultation, and review.Provide rapid response engineering service and support as augmentation to organic resources through in-depth problem identification, impact assessment, and development of corrective actions for critical supportability problems within the scope of CROWS.QualificationsClearance: Top SecretMA/MS and ten (10) years relevant work experience orBA/BS and twelve (12) years relevant work experience orFifteen (15) years relevant work experienceSpecialized Knowledge and Experience Required:Master's degree in an engineering or computer science discipline.DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II.USAF weapon systems acquisition experience and experience briefing senior leaders.Demonstrated knowledge of MBSE methods and tools and SysML.Need help finding the right job?We can recommend jobs specifically for you!Click here to get started.Credence Management Solutions, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
