In the SES team is looking for a System Development Engineer to join a fast growing engineering team where the entire development of the service occurs in Dublin. You will have the opportunity to impact the service roadmap and be given the time to be creative and think of new and creative ways to scale our service and provide increased availability. As a System development engineer in SES you will instrumental in building, deploying, operating and scaling one of the largest email senders on the planet.

On-Call Responsibility
This position involves on-call responsibilities. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.

Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
