This role in summaryWhirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for a Payroll Specialist, Human Resources role to join our Global Human Resources organization. In this role you will support payroll activities for the Whirlpool U.S. payroll team by providing face-to-face support for local inquiries, applying local policies and practices, support time and attendance processes and delivering local training to supervisors on the system for timesheet maintenance.
This position sits on-site and may sit at our Marion, OH or Findlay, OH Manufacturing Plant.
Your responsibilities will includeCompiling necessary time and attendance data from Whirlpool's automated timekeeping system in order to perform bi-weekly payroll. Performing data audit checks to ensure completeness and accuracy of required payroll information.Collaborate with other support functions to ensure adjustments and deductions are submitted for payrollMaintain confidentiality in dealing with employee records and payroll information with a high degree of quality and accuracySupport local payroll administration, including inquiry and issue support for case management requestsKnowledge of local HR policies and procedures impacting payrollPrioritize competing requests while ensuring payroll deadlines are metParticipate in activities as needed (i.e. system testing, KPI's, reporting, special project support, SOX audits, etc.)Responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of documentation while championing continuous improvement Minimum requirementsAssociate's degree1+ years of timekeeping experiencePreferred skills and experiencesBachelor's degree or actively working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or AccountingProficiency in MS Excel and Google suite (mail, sheets, docs)Experience with automated timekeeping systems (Kronos/UKG)Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)Strong communications skills -- verbal, active listening, writtenExperience working in a union environmentAble to enforce compliance requirementsBe well organized with attention to detail and follow up skillsAbility to prioritize with varied timelines and be results orientedAble to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentSolid problem solving and analytical skills needed to troubleshoot problems with urgency.RSRWH
