In addition, these positions are eligible for paid timeoff in the form of vacation, sick, holiday, floating holiday, juryduty and berThe Textiles Production Associate will primarily work in a productionenvironment sorting, hanging, pricing, and tagging donated textileswhile following company quality standards and guidelines to determine whichitems will be placed on the sales floor to be sold. The Associate mayoccasionally be in contact with customers and expected to be responsive incommunication and provide excellent customer service.QUALIFICATIONS:* Must have attention to detail and ability to make decisions.* Ability to use basic technologies to be able to follow company standards.* Ability to use good judgement to assess quality and value of textile productand pricing, researching value, as necessary.* Must have the ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required.* Must be able to work a varied schedule which may include weekends,evenings and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.* Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers,supervisors, staff and peers.At Job Level 681, associate must be able to produce 88 pieces per hourKEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:* Sort donated textiles by season, color and quality of product.* Inspect textiles to ensure the product is in good saleable condition(buttons, zippers, etc.)* Hang, size, and price, tag, and prepare textile items to be sold byloading them on Z-racks.* Make decisions to price according to Goodwill standards of quality and valueof the product which may include researching the item's value on theinternet or utilizing other company tools and standards.* Provide excellent customer service to fellow staff and customers; answerproduct questions as needed.* Follow all retail center policies and procedures.* Follow all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe workingenvironment for employees and customers.* Cross-train as needed in other departments and areas when required.At Job Level 681, associate must be able to produce 88 pieces per hourNote: Hourly rate progression can occur; please see policy 90-51 forrequirements and key performance indicators (KPI's).Goodwill is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to employing qualifiedindividuals including those with disabilities, protected veterans andmilitary spouses.Goodwill participates in E-Verify.
