As a Reach Stacker Operator with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support a new container yard in La Porte, Texas for a comprehensive logistics and international freight solutions company. In this temp to hire role, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule.

　　**PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT the same thing as a Reach Truck, forklift or cherry picker. The Reach Stacker picks up 40' Shipping Containers and stacks them 5 high. This machine is more similar to a Rough Terrain Crane. 

　　Note: The pay rate for this job is $19 - $20 / hour

　　Responsibilities:

　　Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm

　　Review container logs for each day

　　Perform Pre and Post trip inspections on the equipment at beginning and end of each shift

　　Operate a 2023 SAVY Reach Stacker

　　Perform any preventative maintenance tasks as needed

　　Maintain and conduct container inventory checks via software

　　Perform task of stacking containers 5 high per inventory lists

　　Follow all oral and written instructions of the direct supervisor on site

　　Complete daily tasks and assist as needed

　　Work is in an AC controlled environment inside of reach stacker with brain shield also

　　Applicant MUST be able to pass a background check AND a drug screen.

　　*PLEASE NOTE: This equipment is NOT a forklift or anything similar to it. Applicants with forklift ONLY experience will NOT qualify. Specific machine is shown below.

　　Qualifications:

　　Must have a minimum of 2 full years of on-the-job, verifiable work experience

　　OSHA-10 Certification is a HUGE plus!

　　Reach Stacker Container Handler Certification or a willingness to obtain it

　　Ability to be detail oriented and work well under pressure is a MUST!!!

　　Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation

　　Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

　　Prior experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator required

　　Prior experience using joystick and electronic controls are preferred

　　Position does require a background check

　　Position does require a drug screen
