The Opportunity:
This role will be responsible for directing the electrical and instrument maintenance work (salaried, hourly, or contract) throughout our mill. You will be a leader impacting the development of craftsmen by providing coaching to ensure safe electrical work practices to maximize efficiencies and safety.
How you will impact WestRock:
Setting expectations and auditing performance for safe work practices and systems.
Provide leadership in driving and improving accountability, productivity, and quality systems within the maintenance workforce.
Work Management Systems - provide support and leadership in planned and scheduled maintenance, shutdown execution, precision maintenance concepts, proactive maintenance processes and support the reliability efforts in areas of responsibility.
Assist managing budgets to effectively work with Operations to control cost while maximizing equipment availabilities.
Audit all facets of your area and be able to provide direct feedback.
Track maintenance key performance indicators that reflect the effectiveness of the maintenance department in his/her areas of responsibility.
Support projects for improving reliability.
Responsible for conducting business with integrity and respect, being accountable, and actively pursuing excellence to help achieve WestRock’s Path to One goals
What you need to succeed:
HS Diploma or GED required with 2- or 4-year degree preferred
10 years of Electrical/Instrument maintenance supervisory/planning, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving experience
Excellent leadership skills for oversight of the workforce in a Union environment (safety, accountability, productivity, quality, reliability, and technical skills)
Safety mindset with thorough understanding of electrical safety policies and procedures
Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust communication style and interact across all levels of the organization
Strong initiative to problem solve and take independent action
Must be organized with great time management to manage multiple projects
