  Job Description Summary:Supervision of the construction project resulting in successful project completion.Job Description:P OSITION R ESPONSIBILITIES AND D UTIES :Able to perform all essential Asst. Supt./Project Engineer job responsibilitiesOversee all field operations, Assistant Superintendent, and Project Engineer to assure they are completing their required tasksAttend and participate in Safety Training Program and enforce safety proceduresCreate, prepare and maintain responsibility of the job scheduleRecruit, organize, train, direct and coordinate field construction team including subcontractor's direct hire workAssure work quality - set standards for quality controlOrder materials and tools and plan supply allotment to avoid "crisis" buyingPrepare necessary reports (e.g. time sheets, work orders, daily reports and invoice approval)Complete buyout of formwork contract with upper management. Work with PM to write contract to supplier.Verify subcontractor certificates of insuranceDocument and complete all punchlists in a timely mannerReview all drawings, specifications and submittalsPerform manual work only in rare circumstances when, in employee's independent judgment, exigent circumstances require itAbility to travel as required by managementAbility to supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area as required by managementComplete other responsibilities as assignedM INIMUM S KILLS OR E XPERIENCE R EQUIREMENTS :Construction Management degree or a Journeyman status in a relevant building trade AND no less than 5 years of progressive responsibility supervising construction.Extensive field construction experience at supervisory levelCurrent Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification, or achievement of STS Certification within six months of hire, maintenance of active certification statusWorking knowledge of all relevant trades (ability to read and understand specifications)Knowledge of OSHA lawsKnowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost controlAbility in problem-solvingStrong sense of urgencySUMMARY OF BENEFITS:This role is eligible for the following benefits: medical , dental , vision , 401(k) with company matching , Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) , i ndividual stock ownership , paid vacation , paid sick leave , paid holidays, bereavement leave, employee assistance program , pre-tax flexible spending accounts, basic term life insurance and AD&D , business travel accident insurance, short and long term disability , f inancial wellness coaching , educational assistance, Care.com membership , ClassPass fitness membership , and DashPass delivery membership.
