Job Summary:
The Director, Facilities Maintenance is responsible for supervising the Facilities Maintenance Management team and overseeing, planning, directing, coordinating, and scheduling routine and preventive maintenance functions for airport facilities, building, vehicles, and equipment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: overseeing the airfield, airfield grounds, electronics and managing snow and ice control operations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Coordinates internally and externally to maintain facilities and airfield infrastructure for a large commercial airport.Directs a seventy plus member maintenance team consisting of skilled technicians and other staff to support the maintenance function.Provides leadership and works with staff to create a high performance, service-oriented work environment that supports the Nashville Airport Experience.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Authority's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, coaching/mentoring staff, planning and directing work, appraising performance and resolving problems.Creates, interprets and enforces policies, regulations, and practices as required.Develops, administers, and monitors annual operating and capital improvement budget to meet departmental goals.Manages the direction, decision making, and around-the-clock response for a multi-functional maintenance team.Supports all other departments in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulatory requirements.Assists the department Safety manager with developing safety standards and an accident prevention program for all maintenance activities.Maintains regular on-time attendance.Follows all safety regulations.Supports MNAA's commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
