　　Job Title: Summer Woodward Copper Camp Counselor

　　Job Status: Seasonal

　　The Woodward Copper Summer Camp Counselor will be responsible for living witha group of campers and tending to their unique needs. Camp Counselors willhave responsibilities including monitoring camper whereabouts, assistingcampers with wake-up and bedtime responsibilities, assisting the ActivitiesSpecialist with camper recreation, and ensuring campers' psychologicalneeds are met. Overnight Counselors must be in their rooms available for theircampers from lights out to wake up call the next morning.

　　This individual will be assigned a group of approximately 6 to 12 campers of asimilar age. The counselor and campers will be of the same gender. As a groupof campers will be assigned both day and counselors to cover their week, thecounselor will coordinate with the campers' day counselor/coach to ensuresmooth daily transitions.

　　Camp Counselors will communicate with the counselor supervisor, counselorforeman, camp office, as well as the campers' coaches and medical staffwhen necessary, to ensure any physical and psychological needs areattended; e.g., daily medications, challenges in class or room. CampCounselors will convey important communication to the camp office, as wellas coaches and medical staff when necessary, to ensure campers' needs areforeseen, understood, and dealt with appropriately; e.g.,homesickness, peer challenges, overnight issues.

　　Camp Counselors will be an integral part of all-around camp life. CampCounselors will be responsible for knowing where their campers are at any timeduring their shifts. Camp Counselors may also be responsible for monitoringlarger groups of campers during mealtimes or other times as deemed necessaryby the Operations Manager and/or the Camp office. The Operations Manager andCamp office will schedule and train the counselors as needed for assistancewith camper recreation.

　　Camp Counselors will also be integral in the serving of camper meals duringcamp meals, cleaning camp facilities including but not limited to theBarn, the EDGE Cafe, EDGE lobby, camper rooms, vehicles, camperrooms, and camp laundry. Counselors can assist in the transportation ofcampers by driving 15 passenger vans.

　　The Counselor is a seasonal position. Days and hours may vary but will includeweekends and holidays. Must be able to work in all camp environments within avariety of hours. Good written and oral communication skills and team playerattitude required. Candidates must be available to work until the end of thesummer camp season.Job Summary:
