Summary This position will serve as a student trainee and will receive training in analytical methods used to develop objectively based information in support of administrative and programmatic planning, development, evaluation, and managerial decision-making. On-the-job training assignments provide a practical understanding of the organization, programs, policies, and objectives of the agency as well as furnish experience in the application of principles, procedures, and work techniques. Responsibilities As a/an Student Trainee (Financial Operations), you will: Provide support to higher graded specialists responsible for developing, implementing, reviewing and monitoring the effectiveness of single-family program policies and procedures. Support higher graded specialists in initiating and preparing financial or budgetary program regulations, procedures and reports for use by headquarters, field offices, private industry, and the general public. Support the development of technical advice and guidance on financial or budgetary programs for headquarters and field office staff and affected members of the general public. OR Education: For the Pathways Internship Program you may qualify based solely on education as follows: Completion of 2 academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree. (For example: the completion of 50% requirements for an Associates degree and 6 months of general experience.) If hired under this appointment, you are not eligible for health and life insurance benefits, but you are eligible for annual and sick leave.
