　　Responsible to:Director of RTF Services, Psychiatrist on staff, Clinical Directors, Clinical Therapists and/or Residential Supervisors

　　Job Summary:

　　The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Student Placement is an unpaid student placement that a college student is completing to receive academic credit through their college/university. This student is responsible for learning about the services provided to children in within each discipline of the Residential Treatment Facility (RTF). This placement will assist in the provision of services when appropriate, under the direction of the Director of RTF Services, the Psychiatrist on staff, the Clinical Directors, Clinical Therapists and/or Residential Supervisors.

　　Essential Job Duties:

　　Display knowledge of the principles and practices of clinical behavioral health work. Adhere to the standards of clinical practice.

　　Participate in admissions, individual contacts, court hearings, treatment meetings, etc., accompanied by OLV Human Services Supervisor.

　　Facilitation of individual and family therapy sessions, supervised by clinician.

　　Participate in the creation and review of treatment plans.

　　Participate in the management of the milieu.

　　Facilitate or co facilitate client groups in such areas as Sanctuary psycho-education, social skills, self- esteem, ADL’s, life skills etc. or other topics identified by treatment team.

　　Collaborate with other team members or those individuals designated by the agency (e.g. family members, teachers, speech-language pathologists, consumers, etc.) to facilitate comprehensive treatment.

　　Participate in formal staff training and formalized in-service training as appropriate.

　　Complete progress notes and needed documentation as required.

　　Any other requirement by your supervisor.
