CEC is seeking a talented structural Design Technician with an interestin bridge and transportation projects to join our TransportationPractice. This position will directly support CECs mission to eliminateaging infrastructure and drive community growth by helping to deliverquality design and service to its clients. CECs Transportation team hasa long history of state and local agency transportation servicesconsisting of technical expertise from our Oklahoma offices and emergingoffices in Texas and Arkansas.

The selected candidate will have a certificate from a college ortechnical school in computer aided drafting or a minimum of six monthsof experience and/or training in computer aided drafting or relatedconstruction experience. In this role you will develop abilities in planproduction and project delivery for transportation structures andcomponents associated with our client transportation needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Utilize computer software to create or assist in the creation ofdetailed dimensional drawings and design layouts under thesupervision of a licensed professional engineer, including, but notlimited to, plan and profile views, cross sections, details andschedules, for the construction of bridge components, such as decks,steel and concrete beams, bearings, piers, abutments andfoundations.Calculate profile, dimensions, square footage, componentspecifications and material quantities using calculator or computer.Participate in and ensure QC/QA procedures are followed.Maintain accurate design standards and procedures in assigned work.Collaborate and coordinate with engineers, designers, and othertechnicians on project activities.Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental andcompany goals.Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.COMPETENCIES
