JOB REQUIREMENTS: Genesis10 is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineerfor a permanent roleworking for a school system in the Milwaukee, WIarea. Summary:Provides engineering support to review, design,troubleshoot, manage and inspect current and proposed mechanical andplumbing systems throughout the Schools system. Assists in thecoordination of design efforts of outside consultants with in-housepersonnel. Maintain client\'s database of all mechanical and utilityservices. Essential Functions/ Core Competencies: Assists in managingthe Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects from inception tocompletion. Assists in the development of scope and budget for Capitaland School funded MEP projects. Reviews construction documents forcompliance with standards and scope. Assists in coordinating consultantactivities to assure scope is adequately identified. Assists in thepreparation of construction documents for MEP systems in AutoCAD.Assists in the preparation of proposals for pre-purchasing major MEPequipment. Directs trade shop inspectors to assure constructionstandards are met. Assists in resolving field conflicts withcontractors, consultants, existing conditions and constructiondocuments. Provides input for other District initiatives, such asadditions, remodelings, etc. Makes recommendations relative to changesin existing methods and procedures related to MEP activities. Providesinput for procedures and methods for solution of indoor air qualityissues as a member of \' Indoor Client\'s Air Quality Committee. Assistsin the development and implements overall energy budget and strategy forthe District. Assists in preparing energy analysis and providerecommendations for district energy conservation efforts. Assists indeveloping and maintaining master MEP guide specifications andinformation database. Perform other duties as assigned. EducationRequirements: Bachelors of Science degree, preferably in mechanical andplumbing engineering, from a school approved by the Accreditation Boardfor Engineering and Technology (ABET), with an emphasis in the designand application of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems foreducational/commercial buildings. Registration as a professionalengineer in the State of Wisconsin is required. Must possess a validWisconsin driver\'s license and provide a properly insured automobilefor use on the job. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in design,developing specifications, cost estimating, planning and construction,inspection and project management related to mechanical and plumbingsystems. Experience Requirements: Minimum three (3) years of experiencein the operation of an AutoCAD work station and Microsoft OfficeSoftware programs and spreadsheets.
