The Stewardship team within Development and Alumni Relations is hiring a Stewardship Coordinator to manage the acknowledgement process for gifts (under $100K) designated to university initiatives and other custom gift acknowledgements. This project is expected to last at least three months at 40 hours per week.
Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) assists Vanderbilt University in securing the resources, both human and financial, that are required to achieve its mission and goals. DAR is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individuals and organizations whose charitable objectives are consistent with those of Vanderbilt’s teaching and research programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage acknowledgment process (in close collaboration with development officers) for gifts of $2,500-$99,999 to university initiatives.
Facilitate additive, personalized cover letters and pieces in scholarship announcement letters, impact reporting, and financial reporting to donors.
Assist with donor replies expressing interest in connecting with students as part of scholarship impact reporting.
Bring an additional layer of proofing to key projects.
Assist Planned Giving with confirmation of stewardship of surviving family members.
Assist with special projects and customized stewardship.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Strong interpersonal and phone skills
Ability to perform and manage multiple projects
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
Ability to keep private information confidential
Effective oral and written communications skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, assuming responsibility, prioritizing and carrying out duties with minimal supervision
